One Of Our Own
The dust had not yet settled on the Pentagon, and the former site of
the World Trade Center when the message was received on the JUDO-L
discussion list. The message which was sent by Blair Bradbury said
simply "Judo Champ one of the Heroes of UA Flight 93."
The message itself, a link to a website for the NJ Newspaper known as The

The Story
You have probably heard the story already, but this is a
story I don't believe you can hear too often. Especially in times
like these. The story is of a man named Jeremy Glick who called his
wife to tell her that he loved her, and to confirm for himself what the
men who had Hijacked the plane that he was now a passenger on. That they
intended to crash the plane into a building killing him, all of the
other passengers and anyone unlucky enough to be in the building they
crashed into.
Armed with only a plastic knife from the in-flight meal
service, Jeremy and some of the other passengers fought to take back the
plane, or at the very least to stop the hijackers from reaching their
target, and perhaps taking hundreds or even thousands of other innocent
lives.
Jeremy, and the other Men and Women of United Fight 93 are
American Heroes in every sense of the word. There can be no more
clear an act of bravery than to sacrifice ones own life in protection of
others. Flight 93 crashed in a Pennsylvania field killing all
passengers and crew. It never reached it's intended destination
believed to be Washing DC. Hundreds or perhaps even thousands
of lives were saved by the actions of these brave men and
women. Their sacrifice will be remembered.
Our Call To Action
There are three things you can do to remember this
warrior, and honor the sacrifice that Jeremy made for his country.
